Tech News:A new revolution is knocking in the world of technology – and it is being led by Google's new Android version: Android 16. But this time it is not just about new features, design or battery saving. Now it is about a new layer of security, which will make your digital world stronger than ever.

Now security guard at every click

Google recently revealed at its much-awaited Android Show I/O Edition event that an advanced and personalized security system is coming in Android 16. It has been specially designed keeping in mind those people whose information is most at risk – such as journalists, leaders, celebrities and all those common users who are very cautious about their data security.

Advanced Protection: No scam, no spy now

Google's updated Advanced Protection Program (APP) has now become the most powerful security shield in the history of Android. In this, users will need two FIDO-supported security keys – one main and one backup. Both these keys will work to lock and unlock your Google account, as well as help protect against cyber attacks.

Once the registration is complete, the security key and password will be mandatory for every login. That is, if you want to login without these keys – there will be no chance.

Threat detection will be on the device

Android 16 includes many inbuilt features that will make the mobile safe from both outside and inside:

  • Intrusion Logging: Now if someone tampers with your device, then every log of it will be safely saved in the cloud.
  • USB Protection: Now no stranger will be able to steal data by connecting your phone to USB. USB will be active only for charging.
  • Offline Lock: Even if the phone is lost or stolen, it can be locked without internet.
  • Ban on insecure Wi-Fi: The device will no longer automatically connect to a weak network.

Apps outside the Play Store? Now limited access

Google has also tightened the screws on the installation of apps that are outside the Play Store. That is, now no app will be able to forcibly try to enter your device.

Anti-scam alert in Google Messages too

Now if any scam link or fake message comes, Google Messages will alert you in advance. This feature will be very helpful for those who often fall prey to fraud through SMS.

Not Android 16, now it is 'Cyber Bodyguard'

Google's Android 16 is not just a mobile OS, but has become your digital bodyguard. Just as every update used to bring only changes, this time Android 16 has brought a bunker of security.
